CONCEPT
What Are Outdoor
Decking and Cladding?
Outdoor Decking is a raised exterior flooring system used to create comfortable, visually refined walking surfaces across terraces, balconies, patios, gardens and poolside areas.
Outdoor Cladding is installed across walls, facades, ceilings and architectural features to introduce texture, depth and wood-inspired character.
Lamiwood’s composite outdoor solutions are designed to recreate the visual warmth of timber while reducing many of the maintenance challenges associated with exposed natural wood.
Depending on the selected collection, the products may feature co-extruded protective surfaces, textured woodgrain finishes, concealed fixing systems and profiles created for specific horizontal or vertical applications.

EXTERIOR PERFORMANCE
Why Choose LAMIWOOD OUTDOOR Surfaces?
Exterior surfaces experience conditions that indoor flooring never encounters.
They face direct sunlight, rain, humidity, dust, temperature changes, moving furniture and continuous exposure to the environment. The right product must therefore balance visual design with material performance and installation precision.
Moisture-Resistant Construction
Composite outdoor products are designed to resist moisture absorption more effectively than untreated natural wood, helping reduce swelling, rotting and moisture-related deterioration.
UV-Resistant Surface
Selected co-extruded surfaces contain protective technology developed to reduce excessive fading and surface degradation under regular outdoor sunlight exposure.
Scratch and Stain Resistance
The protective outer surface helps defend against everyday marks, outdoor furniture movement, food spills and frequent activity.
Termite and Insect Resistance
The composite construction does not provide the same natural food source as untreated timber, helping reduce vulnerability to termite and insect attack.

——— PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
Built for the Outdoors. Installed the Right Way.
Outdoor decking and cladding require more than simply fixing boards to a surface. A correctly prepared substructure, adequate ventilation, drainage, expansion allowance and the right fixing system are essential for long-term outdoor performance.

Site Assessment & Planning
The installation area is measured and assessed for surface condition, levels, drainage, exposure and the intended direction of the decking or cladding.
The layout is planned to minimise unnecessary joints while allowing for expansion, drainage and proper board alignment.
Build the Supporting Substructure
For decking, a level and stable joist framework is prepared over the supporting surface. The joists are securely fixed and spaced according to the selected decking profile and project requirements.
For cladding, suitable battens or a supporting framework are fixed to the wall, creating a stable fixing surface and the necessary ventilation cavity behind the boards.
Ensure Drainage & Ventilation
Outdoor installations must allow water to drain away and air to circulate behind the system.
The substructure is arranged to maintain appropriate drainage paths and ventilation, helping prevent trapped moisture and supporting long-term performance.
Fix the First Board
Starter clips or the specified starting profile are securely fixed to the substructure.
The first decking or cladding board is positioned carefully and checked for level and alignment. This first board establishes the reference line for the entire installation.
Install the Remaining Boards
The remaining boards are installed using the specified concealed clips, fasteners or fixing system.
Each board is checked for consistent alignment and the required spacing is maintained to accommodate natural thermal movement.
For decking, the boards are securely fixed to the joists while maintaining the required gaps for drainage and expansion.
For cladding, boards are fixed to the supporting battens while maintaining the required joints, ventilation and movement allowances.
Final Inspection
The completed installation is inspected for alignment, fixing security, board spacing, drainage, ventilation and finishing quality.
The surface is then cleaned and the installation is handed over ready for use.

——— SIMPLE EVERYDAY CARE
Care &
Maintenance.
Lamiwood outdoor decking and cladding are designed to handle everyday outdoor exposure with minimal maintenance. A simple cleaning routine helps preserve the surface, texture and appearance over time.

01 // Regular Cleaning
Keep the Surface Clear
Remove leaves, dust, sand and other loose debris regularly using a soft-bristle broom or brush. For a deeper clean, wash the surface with clean water and a mild, non-abrasive household cleaner.
02 // Clean Spills & Stains Promptly
Don’t Let Stains Settle.
Food, beverages, mud and other spills should be cleaned as soon as possible.
Use water and a soft cloth or brush to gently remove the affected area. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the surface finish.
03 // Remove Standing Water & Debris
Let Water Flow Freely.
Keep drainage paths, gaps and the area around the installation free from leaves, dirt and accumulated debris.
Good drainage and airflow beneath the decking help the system perform effectively in outdoor conditions.
04 // Periodic Inspection
A Little Care Goes a Long Way.
Periodically check the boards, fixing points, trims and supporting structure for any signs of movement, damage or obstruction.
